Western Union lifts ban on Google Adsense Payment for Pakistani bloggers

Finally a good new for Pakistani bloggers that Western Union is now processing payments for all Pakistani bloggers who are running Google Adsense on their websites.
One such blogger Faheem Usama has just updated on his blog that he was able to receive his payment and also Western Union confirmed him through email that earlier applied temporary restriction on the payments has been lifted.
Faheem sent an email to Western Union on their facebook fan page and in response he received their following message;
“Hello Faheem Siddiqui I do appreciate your patience, unfortunately it was a temporally restriction but it has been lifted already, our agents are aware of the situation”
Western Union had stopped paying Pakistani bloggers few weeks back after some of its franchises had started withdrawing blogger’s money after making their fake ID cards. This was painful for bloggers who make utmost efforts for keeping their content valuable and unique for advertisers and at the same it was affecting the reputation of Western Union.
According to some bloggers, the restriction applied was for amount over $2,000 but later it was noted that payments lesser than $2,000 were not being processed as well.
Bloggers were left with no other option but to open Dollar Currency bank accounts for receiving their payments. Dollar accounts are normally not available with every branch of all banks and where available their starting limit for opening the account is at least $ 500. A further balance is deducted in dollars every month if a certain limit is not maintained which is very hard for the bloggers.
On the other hand, it is to be noted that Western Union usually convert Dollars into Pak Rupee at a rate lower than current market/bank rate.
